APRIL ARTIST OF THE MONTH: RADAMES MALAVE JR.

Art promotes wonder and makes you believe that anything is possible. At a young age, Radames understood this and with a stroke of a crayon created wonderful images. He discovered that he could create anything he put his mind to and found it exciting. Radames has always loved drawing in black and white whether it is traditional or digital because it forces him to convey his art clear enough so that the viewer will be able to understand the message that is being put out.

MARCH ARTIST OF THE MONTH: KYRAN O'BRIEN

Featured Artist Kyran O'Brien was born in Milwaukee and has lived here his entire life. From the East Side where he was born number 10 out of 11 children to Bay View where he presently resides with his wife and four children. Kyran enjoys this city immensely and has started documenting this city in his artwork. Oils, watercolors, pastels, it doesn’t matter- just as long as his canvas is black, as he believes black gives him a richer product.

FEBRUARY ARTIST OF THE MONTH: GILFALO ART DESIGN

With a desire to make people smile through bright colors and eye-catching designs, Chris Gill & Danielle Ruffalo of Gilfalo Art Design have been honing their craft for nearly 3 years. Inspired by a love of collecting limited edition art prints, they literally started from scratch- learning the process of reduction block printing through trial and error, one carve at a time. Creating block prints with a heavy focus on the reduction printing process, their art can be found in thier online store, local businesses, and small art galleries.

JANUARY ARTIST OF THE MONTH: CASEY NIEZNANSKI

January's featured artist Casey Nieznanski, is a woodworking hobbyist from New Berlin who specializes in combining traditional handmade woodworking with digital CNC milling. His specialities are in making custom decorative signage for home or business using both common and exotic hardwood which as he says "is way cheaper and less regrettable than tattoos if you're looking for permanent personal expression!" Casey enjoys finding stunning colors, grains, and textures from natural hardwoods and matching them with the graphic or phrase the customer is looking to express. For the most part, the sky's the limit for what Casey can carve into wood.
